get recommendations

reviews are great, but wouldn’t you rather get a recommendation? how about if it was from a friend whose taste you know and trust?

social media stalking

March 22nd, 2013 by Monica Scales

I recently had a conversation with someone who said that 20% of social media users generate 80% of the content. The rest of the users are people like me….social media stalkers! We go on Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest daily or a few times a week and look at what everyone else is posting, but we never post anything ourselves. I have even found myself doing the same thing on flik even though I’ve posted more to flik than I have any other social media site in my life!

What makes flik different for me? It’s utility. I have tried 21 cupcakes because I saw them on flik. I’ve added multiple items to my baby registry like the G-Luxe stroller by Uppa Baby because someone recommended it on flik. I’m about to buy the Glam Glow face masque I just saw on flik yesterday! Point being…it’s actually useful as opposed to seeing people’s food on Facebook or seeing the same pose in various outfits so people can tell you how great you look! Seeing how much I’ve used flik has made reluctant me even want to post things myself in hopes that someone finds the things I love (or hate) useful as well!

So, even if you don’t think you have great stuff or things to share….trust me, you do and flik users want to hear about them! So, try finding even one thing or place to flik this week because you never know who may love it as much as you do!
